How DraftScreens credits work, and which plan to pick

How DraftScreens credits work: what counts as a design, what is free, what a failed generation costs, and whether Free, Pro or Studio fits you.

By DraftScreens · · 5 min read

DraftScreens counts usage in designs, also called credits. This post explains what uses a credit and what does not, and helps you choose between the Free, Pro and Studio plans. Prices are in US dollars and were checked in October 2026; the pricing page always has the current numbers.

Paying yearly works out at $12 a month for Pro and about $41 a month for Studio.

What a design is

A design is one generated screen. A flow of five screens uses five designs. Paid plans count designs as credits: one credit, one screen.

Things that do not use credits:

  • Editing by hand in the visual editor. Changing text, colours, spacing and links is free.
  • Previewing the prototype, sharing a link and exporting.
  • A generation that fails. Failed generations are refunded automatically and never count.

Asking the AI to revise a screen is a generation, so it uses a credit.

The free plan

One design a day, up to five in a month, with the allowance resetting daily. You get the visual editor, the clickable prototype, share links and PNG export. Shares carry a DraftScreens badge and designs are public.

It is enough to judge the quality on your own idea. It is not enough to design a whole app, because flows and the Figma and code exports are on paid plans.

Pro, $15 a month

Pro is for one person designing real apps. It includes 200 designs a month, and unused designs roll over. It adds multi-screen flows from one prompt, every export (Figma, HTML, project ZIP and the prompt pack for coding tools) and private designs with no badge.

Studio, $49 a month

Studio is for teams and for anyone with a brand to keep. It includes 1,000 designs a month, three seats and a priority queue. Its main feature is design-system ingestion: save your palette, fonts, voice, rules and logo once, and every screen is generated on-brand.

Running out

If you need more in a month, a pack of 250 credits is $10.

Refunds and cancelling

You can cancel at any time from settings. An unused purchase can be refunded in full within 14 days. The refund policy has the details.

Which plan

  • Trying it on an idea: Free.
  • Designing an app you intend to build: Pro. You will want flows and the prompt pack or Figma export.
  • A team, an agency, or a product with brand guidelines: Studio.
