Text to app design: type the app, get the screens
Text to app design means the prompt is the brief. Write what the app is for and who uses it, and DraftScreens returns phone screens with layout, copy and colour chosen for that brief, not a generic template with your title on it.
A sentence is enough
Habit tracker called Ember: streak flames, weekly ring, gentle nudges. That is a full prompt. More detail gives you more control, not a better chance of it working.
Ten looks to choose from
Pick a design language such as Minimal, Luxury, Glass or Playful, or let the planner choose one that fits the brief.
Refine in words or by hand
Tell the AI to make onboarding friendlier and only that screen changes. Or select the headline and retype it yourself, free.
Failed generations never count
If a generation fails or comes back empty, the credit is refunded automatically.
How text to app design works
- Write the prompt: the app's name, what it does, and one or two things that make it yours.
- Choose Screen for a single screen or, on Pro and Studio, Flow for four to six connected screens.
- Read the result like a designer would: fix the copy and colours by hand, and describe bigger changes to the AI.
- Keep going from the same project, so new screens follow the design language the first one set.
Questions people ask
- How long should the prompt be?
- One or two sentences work. Name the app, what it does and anything distinctive. You can add the look you want or pick a design language from the menu.
- How many screens does one prompt make?
- On Pro and Studio a flow prompt makes four to six connected screens. On the free plan you generate one screen at a time.
- Is DraftScreens free?
- There is a free plan: one design a day, up to five a month, with PNG export, share links, the visual editor and a clickable prototype. So you can try your own prompt before paying for anything.
- What if the result is not what I meant?
- Edit any element by hand at no cost, or describe the change and the AI revises that screen.
