DraftScreens features: everything it does today, and what is next

Every DraftScreens feature in one place: flows, the visual editor, chat editing, prototypes, design systems and exports, and what is live or planned.

This is the full list of what DraftScreens does, grouped by what you are trying to do, with an honest status on each. "Live" means you can use it today. "Next" and "planned" mean it is not shipped.

Generating screens

Single screens (live, every plan). Describe one screen and get it designed at 390 by 844, with real copy and content rather than placeholders. That makes it usable as an app mockup generator on its own.

Multi-screen flows (live, Pro and Studio). One prompt becomes four to six connected screens: onboarding, home, detail, settings. They share one set of tokens, one type scale and one tab bar, so nothing drifts between screens.

Ten design languages (live). Minimal, Luxury, Gen Z, Clinical, Brutalist, Glass, Neubrutalism, Dark-first, Playful and Enterprise. Pick one, or let the planner choose. Design languages explained shows what each commits to.

Refunds for failures (live). A generation that fails or returns nothing is refunded automatically. Failed generations never count against your allowance.

Editing

Visual editor (live, every plan). Click any element and change its text, colour, spacing or the screen it links to. Edits are undoable and cost nothing.

Chat editing (live). Select a screen and say what to change, for example "make onboarding friendlier". Only that screen is revised; the rest of the flow stays as it is. A failed edit is refunded.

Your brand

Design-system ingestion (live, Studio). Save a palette with roles, body and display fonts, a voice, do and don't rules and a logo as a reusable design language. You can also pull a palette straight out of a screenshot. Link it to a project and every screen generates on-brand.

Previewing and sharing

Clickable prototype (live, every plan). Every screen carries its links, so you can tap through the flow in the studio.

Phone preview (live). Scan a QR code and hold the prototype on your own phone.

Share links (live). A public page with the prototype and a QR code. Shares on the free plan carry a DraftScreens badge. Pro and Studio designs can be private.

Remix and a public gallery (building). Forking someone's whole flow, and a gallery of public designs, are in progress.

The prompt pack is the hand-off most people use: a Markdown brief with the tokens, the screens and the navigation map. How to design an app for Cursor or Claude Code walks through it.

Teams

Seats (live, Studio). Studio includes three seats and a priority queue.

Free tools

App Store Screenshot Maker (live, free, no account). Turn app screens into App Store and Google Play screenshots in your browser, with device frames, captions and every required size. Nothing is uploaded. Open the Screenshot Maker.

It is the only free tool that is live today. Others are planned, and the tools page marks them as coming soon.

Planned

  • Dark mode pairs. Every design language with a light and a dark version, switched once for the whole project.
  • An MCP server and an API. Design screens from inside your editor, with your credits, projects and tokens.
  • A store launch kit. Icon, splash, store screenshots and a paywall derived from the same tokens.

The short version

Today DraftScreens generates mobile screens and flows in a committed design language, lets you edit them by hand or by asking, turns them into a prototype you can hold, and exports them to Figma and to coding tools. It does not write native code yet. Plans and limits are on the pricing page; how credits and plans work explains what counts as a design.
